The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only issue is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first go. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are useful however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category which could make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
